ARC Group is proud to announce the support to Asia Ballet Academy becoming a Platinum Sponsor for its production ¨La Fille Mal Gardée¨. This production is Inspired by the choreographer – Frederick Ashton’s love for the Suffolk countryside. The ballet is set on a farm and tells a story of love between Lise, the daughter of Widow Simone, and Colas, a young farmer.
Being the first in Malaysia to perform this, ABT aims to break away from the traditional perceptions about Ballet – elegance, fairytale and beautiful love story. Unlike so, La Fille Mal Gardée is a comical ballet, presenting a sad story of Alain who is being involved in a Love Triangle.
This is a charity event that support kids. Asia Ballet Theatre is collaborating with UNICEF in reaching out children in need with life-savings supplies. In our production “La Fille Mal Gardee”, a total of 500 tickets sale will be donated fully to UNICEF, in supporting the campaign of saving children from severe malnutrition. These tickets will then be distributed to the orphanage homes. We hope to spread Love & Joy to these less privileged children, to inspire and make a difference in their development.
