Xinhua News Features ARC Group: Advising China’s Mid-Market on Global Expansion

Chinese companies are expanding abroad in greater numbers, and the largest among them are finding it easiest. Big corporates arrive with the capital and supply chains to match, and establish themselves quickly. Mid-sized companies meet harder constraints: too few bankers who work both sides of a border, a service chain that does not join up, and limited access to cross-border instruments.

ARC Group was founded in Shanghai in 2015 to work that segment. The firm now operates from 12 offices across Asia, Europe and the Americas, advising mid-sized companies on outbound expansion into overseas markets and the international capital markets. Its bankers advise clients on local policy and market conditions before they commit. ARC has advised on outbound transactions in healthcare, technology and consumer.
