Introduction

Gain insights into Vietnam's emergence as a global sourcing and production hub and learn more about opportunities for Swedish businesses.

Vietnam has emerged as a key player in the global economy, particularly in the fields of sourcing and production. Over the past few decades, Vietnam has experienced remarkable economic growth, becoming one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. Additionally, Vietnam and Sweden share a longstanding diplomatic relationship, which is celebrating its 55th anniversary in 2024. This presents an opportunity to further strengthen ties between the two nations through economic collaboration.

Furthermore, the European Union-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) has opened up new avenues for trade between Vietnam and Scandinavian countries, including Sweden. This agreement facilitates smoother trade relations and offers various benefits for businesses looking to engage in import-export activities between Vietnam and Sweden.

This workshop aims to serve as a platform for fostering stronger economic ties between Vietnam and Sweden, leveraging the opportunities presented by the EVFTA, and promoting participation in the Vietnam International Sourcing Fair. Through knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration, we seek to facilitate mutually beneficial partnerships and contribute to the continued growth and development of both economies. We look forward to your participation and engagement in this initiative.
